S.S.# 11 Westmeath banner An all day sports day was held at Snake River Outdoor Rink c1962-63 where the 4 local schools - Upper & Lower Greenwood, Lees and Shield (S.S.#11 was known as Shield school) schools assembled. Skating races, broomball, tug of war and a number of other events were held. Each school had a Queen of the Day - seen here is Helen Purcell from S.S.#11. Mrs. Edith Percival is also seen in this photo.
