 William Jackson of Beachburg starts a cheese factory in Cobden on lot 115. Wm Henry Collins is hired as book-keeper and Frank Pounder is hired as cheese-maker. (In 1912 the cheese factory was turned into a creamery and in 1916 Cobden people began ownership. Among them were Ed McKenny, The McEwan brothers, The United farmes of Ontario and the Hoffmans)
