  WWII: wounded Sep 4, 1944, remained on duty Killed in action Dec 11, 1944, A/Sgt. oversease Aug 27, 1943; to field Nov 6, 1943 he had a fiancee Canada Jan 21, 1943-Aug 26, 1943 UK Aug 27, 1943-Nov 14, 1943 Italy Nov 14, 1943-Dec 11, 1944 Eligible for 1939-45 Star; Italy Star; War Medal 1939-35; Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with clasp Death when the regiment crossed the Lamone River and Captured Villanova. He hadn't a mark on his body and he obviously had been instantly killed by the concussion from the blast of a shell which hit close to him. He was buried beside others of the regiment who fell in the same action. His remains were later moved to the military cemetery.
