  MOORE FAMILY HISTORY ROBERT MOORE 77 METCALFE ST ST THOMAS ONT N5R 3K6 EMAIL rmoore@wwdc.com James Wright born about 1841 Ontario age 20 labourer in 1861 census of Ra msey Twp Moved from Clare Mich in 8 Jan 1877 to Cedar (Gladwin City) and was a shoe maker and by stages ran a hotel ( Gladwin House). He was the longest inhab itant of the hamlet by 1890. In 1878 there were 2 families and a general store in Cedar and by 1882 th ere were 100 people. James' wife was a sister of R.A Gilchrist. She died Nov 1908 (her name m ay have been Jane) a daughter Edna Mae died 31 Jan 1890 age 7 yrs 7 mons and 29 days at Gladw in James went to Duluth Wisconsin in 1890 and ran a hotel there He died mid October 1909 in Duluth Children a.
